About Me

My name is Evelyn Mendez, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Texas. I achieved my BCBA certification in July 2022 and spent two years working in another school district in this capacity. I joined the Military School Districts' Cooperative as a BCBA at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year.

Before transitioning to behavior analysis, I dedicated 17 years to teaching special education. A significant portion of that time—ten years—was spent at Fort Sam Houston ISD with the Military School Districts' Cooperative, making my return last year felt like coming home. Additionally, I have experience at the Autism Treatment Center and various facilities serving individuals with disabilities. Overall, I bring more than 25 years of experience to the field, and my passion for this work remains strong!

I hold a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University, a master's degree in special education from Texas A&M San Antonio, and a master's certification in applied behavior analysis from the University of Texas San Antonio.

On a personal note, I am also a mother of five boys, who are my greatest source of joy and keep me both busy and blessed!
