About Me
My name is Evelyn Mendez, I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Texas. I became a BCBA in July 2022 and worked for another school district as a BCBA for 2 years. I am starting the 2024/2025 school year here at the Military School Districts' Cooperative as a BCBA for Fort Sam Houston ISD, Randolph Field ISD, and Lackland ISD.
I was a special education teacher for 17 years prior to becoming a behavior analyst. Ten of those years were spent at Fort Sam Houston ISD with the Military School Districts' Cooperative so, I am happy to be back home. I have also worked at the Autism Treatment Center and other facilities that work with people with disabilities. Combined, I have over 25 years of experience in the field, and I still love what I do!
I received a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas State University, a master's in special education from Texas A&M San Antonio, and a master's certification in applied behavior analysis from University of Texas San Antonio.
I am also a boy mom of 5 and they are my greatest accomplishment keeping me busy and blessed!
