About Me
I’m back and excited to begin another year with FSHISD’s Military School Districts’ Cooperative family. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. During my studies, I worked as a peer-counselor and math tutor to incoming freshmen on campus. Upon graduation, I was accepted to the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. I began my teaching career in 2003. In 2005, I obtained an M.S. in Special Education. I was committed to understanding and addressing the social-emotional needs of my students, so I returned to school to study school counseling, and received an M.S. in School Counseling in 2011. I worked for the New York City Department of Education for 18 years in various special education roles. I moved to SATX in 2021. I am patient, open-minded, and love seeing my students reach their true educational potential. I look forward to another great school year!
