About Me
I’m back and excited to begin my 2nd year with FSHISD’s Military School Districts’ Cooperative family. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. During my studies, I worked as a peer-counselor and math tutor to incoming freshmen on campus. Upon graduation, I was accepted to the New York City Teaching Fellows Program, and I began my teaching career in 2003. In 2005, I obtained an M.S. in Special Education, and I later received an M.S. in School Counseling from Brooklyn College. I worked for the New York City Department of Education for 18 years in various special education roles. This will be my fourth school year in Texas. I am patient, open-minded, and love seeing my students reach their true educational potential. I am looking forward to another great school year!
