Results are shared as “percent favorable”. For example, when a question is scored at “75% favorable,” this means that 75% of respondents selected a favorable answer choice. Most often the top two answer choices are favorable for a question with five answer choices.
The student survey provided the opportunity to monitor students’ opinions regarding topics such as school climate, student engagement, learning strategies, school rigorous expectations and school teacher-student relationships.
Family surveys summarized parents’ feedback about family engagement, barriers to engagement, school climate, and school fit. A total of 110 parents from Forts Sam Houston Elementary School and Robert G. Cole Middle and High School completed the surveys.
Faculty and staff surveys measured school climate, feedback and coaching, professional learning, school leadership, and staff-leadership relationships.
The FSHISD District Office survey gathered information about staff satisfaction with their work environment, measuring department climate, professional learning, and staff-leadership relationships. Staff from transportation, facilities, child nutrition, technology, the military co-operative, and central administration shared their views.
