FSHISD Approves 2023-2024 Compensation Plan

On Thursday evening, the FSHISD Board of Trustees approved the 2023-2024 Budget and the Compensation Plan.  The Budget was developed in alignment with the District’s goals and will allow the district to serve and support our students in achieving success.  Highlights of the Compensation Plan are listed below.
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Teachers, Librarians, and Registered Nurses
-Starting salary (step 0) on the hiring scale increased to $58,500 from $56,500 for Bachelor’s Degree, based on 187-day work schedule
-Continue additional $2,000 at each step for Master’s Degree
-Mid-point salary increased to $65,375 from $63,375
-Compensation increase for those employed in the District prior to the 2023-2024 school year is $2,125, which is a 3.25% increase based on the mid-point salary
 
Paraeducators, Paraprofessionals, Auxiliary, and Administrative Professional Staff
-Scales revised to achieve market-rate competitiveness
-Compensation increase of 3.25% from the mid-point of each scale
Some changes to the Academic / Extra Duty and Athletic Stipend Schedules based on District’s needs and market rates of surrounding districts
-Employer contribution for health insurance increases to $575 per month from $550 per month
